LARASA Learning Centers are unique in that they provide free online curriculum specifically designed to serve students from at-risk neighborhoods in grades 7-12 in a supportive environment.  Bilingual mentor/ instructors facilitate the students' learning progress through individualized learning plans.  Each of the Learning Centers has a ratio of no more than 25 students per mentor/instructor with each student having an individualized learning plan.

The curriculum for these Learning Centers is computer-based online, allowing students to learn at their own individual pace.  Bilingual mentor/instructors assist and guide the students one-on-one as they progress through the curriculum.

The students are nearly all minority youth, and all are classified as at-risk.

For many of the students, the LARASA Learning Centers represent their last opportunity to stay in school and graduate.
