LAD2013 Latino Advocacy Day (LAD) seeks to further educate, empower and train Latinos of all ages to advocate for and against issues that effect them, their families and communities. LAD has brought together Latinos from across Colorado since 2007 to learn about policies and work with professional and citizen lobbyists on how to advocate with elected officials. Seventh Annual Latino Advocacy Day is two-day event includes advocacy training on a wide-range of policy issues including education, healthcare, reproductive rights, civil rights, economic justice and immigration. The second day includes a march to the Capitol and rally on the west steps plus visits to legislators. The two-day event is $20.00; Registration and hotel scholarships are available.
